Break and Steal an Egg Pickaxes
The current reference lists 18 Pickaxes, from Wooden through Celestial. Their Power helps break eggs faster and is separate from Speed. If breaking is slow, compare tools below; for movement or zone access, review Speed and Trails.

What Pickaxe Power Does
The current Pickaxe list contains 18 tools, from the starter Wooden Pickaxe to Celestial. Compare cost and Power side by side before planning an upgrade. The list is the October 8, 2026 reference and does not assign an egg requirement, rarity or damage formula to a tool.
Cost is a purchase value; Power is the stat used for egg breaking. Keep those columns separate from Speed gates in the zone guide. Short labels such as K, M, B and T indicate the scale of the listed values. Qa is retained as displayed in the late-game cost reference, so you can compare it with the game's own labels.
Pickaxe Power helps you break eggs more efficiently. It addresses the part of the run before you take the hatched animal. If you can already reach a zone but spend too long at an egg, checking a stronger tool is a sensible next step.
Power does not serve as Speed for zone access or movement. A tool with a large Power value may still leave your access problem unresolved if the zone gate is above your actual Speed. Likewise, buying a Trail does not replace the Pickaxe stat used to break an egg.
This table does not support a precise time-to-break calculation. That would need egg health and the game's damage rules, which are not supplied here. Compare the listed tools and your actual run instead of treating a Power ratio as a guaranteed timer. No exact number of hits is promised for any egg.
Early Pickaxe Progression
The opening order is Wooden → Stone → Iron → Golden. Wooden is the starter at 1 Power. Stone costs $80 for 4 Power and Iron costs $800 for 15 Power. These are the first listed purchase steps after the starting tool.
Golden raises the reference to 60 Power at $20K. Compare both columns before buying: a larger Power number does not address a Speed gate, and a tool purchase should fit the part of the run you are trying to improve. Diamond begins the next group in this guide.
During your first sessions, learn whether egg breaking is actually your main limit. If movement or zone access is holding you back, saving only for a Pickaxe does not directly solve that issue. The beginner route helps you make a complete run first, then choose between Power, Speed and carrying capacity based on what happened.
Mid-Game Pickaxes
The middle group runs Diamond → Strawberry → Cactus → Lightning → Candy → Rainbow → Crystal. Diamond costs $160K for 250 Power. Strawberry follows at $1.2M and 1K Power; Cactus at $6M and 4K Power; and Lightning at $40M and 15K Power.
Candy reaches 60K Power at $400M, Rainbow reaches 250K at $2.8B, and Crystal reaches 1M at $20B. These names are tool entries. A matching word in an egg or zone name does not establish a required pairing: Candy Pickaxe is not listed here as a special key for Candy zone.
At this stage, compare the next tool with how the breaking part of your current run feels. You do not need to buy a named tool just because a guide mentions a zone with a similar theme. Start with the relevant stat and avoid spending around an unannounced egg-health threshold or a claimed guaranteed return.
Late-Game Pickaxes
The late group is Demon → Hacker → UFO → Secret → Cool → Galaxy → Celestial. Demon costs $120B for 4M Power, Hacker $1.2T for 15M, and UFO $12T for 60M. Secret follows at $80T with 250M Power.
Cool is listed at $600T and 1B Power. Galaxy costs $4Qa for 5B Power, and Celestial is the strongest entry in this reference at $20Qa and 25B Power. “Strongest listed” describes the largest Power value in this table; it does not establish the best purchase for every player's current bottleneck.
Large equipment values do not remove the separate Speed requirement for a zone. Galaxy Pickaxe and Galaxy zone also use different columns and different kinds of values. Check the tool's Power for breaking and the zone's gate for entry. The upcoming New Biome has no published tool requirement to add to this comparison.
Pickaxe or Trail — What Should You Buy Next?
Think about the last run you attempted. Which part took too long or stopped you? The decision table points to the stat worth checking next, without promising a fixed purchase order for every account. Your current equipment and reachable zone matter more than choosing the most expensive name on either list.
If you decide to buy a Trail, remember to equip it so the multiplier applies. If you choose a Pickaxe, judge the result at the egg-breaking stage of a comparable run. Keeping those observations separate makes it easier to see whether the upgrade addressed the actual problem.
There is no income or return-on-investment formula in this guide. The official Cash loop depends on bringing animals back and placing them at your base, so a decision should consider whether you can complete the run as well as whether the egg breaks faster.
| Problem | Better next check |
|---|---|
| Egg takes too long to break | Pickaxe Power |
| You can break it but struggle to reach or escape | Trail / Speed progression |
| You cannot enter the zone | Actual Speed versus the zone requirement |
